Installed it with relative ease. My 2008 Tundra was pre wired and everything just plugged in and the 3 connections in the front were very easy to figure out. There is a fair amount of excess wire in both places but I just bundled, zip tied and stuffed it out of the way. Great purchase! I can now back up in my challenging driveway and not hit my wife's RAV4.
Worked great! mirror fit great and tailgate camera fit perfect and you can't tell it's aftermarket. I put all my wires in extra wire loom but it comes in it. Picture quality is good for what I need and can't be happier.
I had the 2008 Tundra for over 8 years now and hated that i never had a backup camera. I am not sure why i waited this long to get it.
The service was really great, i forget the name of the person who helped me. I wanted to get the OEM standard unit as it was all prewired and all i had to do was plug and play, i wanted that off course. But i was given the option of somthing that was half the price and with better image quality. And they also went ahead and prewired everything for me.
They source the parts and get them all together wired custom for every brand. Mine was so easy, took maybe an hour to install.
Buy with confidence.
Purchased a 2007 Tundra extra cab with fiberglass shell for vacation traveling. This truck is significantly larger than any vehicle I've owned to this point. Because of the size backing up has always been a concern (even with sonar). Happened to see a YouTube video explaining how to install a backup camera on a 2007 Tundra. Installation looked straight forward so opted to give it a go. Selected the OEM style mirror and tailgate latch system. Tailgate latch installation went smooth and easy. Mirror install had one small hiccup (wiring directions required a quick call to the help desk for clarification) but was completed almost as easily as the rear latch.
Tailgate camera provides an unbelievable improvement in confidence when backing up. Will probably also get one for my brother's beast shortly. Outstanding product. Thanks guys.
Installed camera and mirror combo into my 2007 Tundra. With a little assistance from the help desk (clarifying mirror wiring directions), and YouTube, the install went quick and easy.
Great image with clean factory looks. Outstanding!
