installed on 2003 Toyota Tacoma, simple installation, it looks great, screen looks ok and so is the alignment, also the shipping was very promp. pics might not look to good.
First off, it delivered in about a week, incase someone is wondering. I started off by running the wire up to my headunit on my double cab. I was then, going to run a seperate wire back to my reverse wire and decide not to because one, they don't include enough wire for that and second, cause my camera button on my radio can manually turn the camera on and off. I hooked up the red camera wire and purple switch wire to the ignition wire on the radio. I then hooked up the black camera wire to the negative on the radio. So, now I just turn it on and off when I need it even while I'm driving if I want to see my trailer, bike rack, etc. I also went ahead and installed a 12volt plug and ran both camera and plug wires together in a wire loom to the gromet underneath the driver seat and into the cab. All in all, I'm happy with camera quality and the look of OEM on my tailgate.
The camera was decently easy to install. I like that its more of a clean install than other cameras that are mounted on the license plate. I wish the angle was slightly better but overall the picture is good. And yes, the reverse wire lamp is gonna be a red with black stripe. There was a moron in the reviews saying otherwise but he had a tundra. And clearly this was made for the 1st gen tacoma

This was exactly what I was looking for. a camera that not only operates properly but cosmetically looks like it fits my 2002 Tacoma perfectly. if you’re wondering, yes, it is the red wire with the black stripe on the driver side. This was an easy install. The only negative I have and not give it. Five stars is because of the aiming angle of the camera. I would like to see it aimed a little bit higher to get more of a view. If somebody was walking behind me there’s still a little bit of a blind spot. But overall it works perfect if you’re backing up to get something on your hitch and see those direct images that you may miss your side at the bumper all in all very good product and delivered in good time
