Prefect Fit

Perfect fit and finish. Much better view than the license plate mounted backup camera I replaced. I just had this installed 2 days ago, so I cannot comment on its reliability and longevity.

2011 Tundra solution

The tailgate camera was a perfect solution to not being able to see behind when backing up. The installation was (for the most part) straight forward as the provided harness hook directly into the existing factory installed wiring at the rear bumper (the other end was located in the ceiling console). Tailgatecamera provided a video wire harness which connected from the console to where my future radio/camera display would be. The challenge was connecting the video cable to the radio/display unit. Their wiring labels were not labeled the same. Luckily TailGateCamera stepped up and solved the problem.
Bottomline: Awesome camera/picture

Great looking camera

Camera is great even at night. I have mine where I can turn it on at will instead of linked to my reverse lights. Being able to adjust the camera to my liking is a great feature. That only part that concerns me is the actual handle. It doesn’t seem to be an OEM handle. It does work as intended but we’ll see how the longevity is.

Brian was very helpful.

I purchased the version with the OEM connector as I was in the process of returning my wiring to the OEM specification. Brian was very patient and helped me correct the pinout mistakes that I made on the mating connector by following an supposed Toyota document that I found online.
