DODGE RAM Backup camera (2009-2018) Factory Integrated OEM Fit Backup Camera System

The system worked great once installed other than the actual camera comes out of the tailgate handle easily. The only reason for the rating is the instructions are not very good. Nothing about removing a significant radio harness to replace it with the 2 wire RCA cable. I figured this out by trial and error, but it would be simple to provide decent instructions with pictures especially online. The OBDGenie worked well once I had the correct model, so this kit would be great with a little help on the directions.

Great Camera

Relatively easy install - follow directions. I used the cigarette lighter circuit for the 12v acc power connection because it is switched. The directions don’t suggest what source to tap into. This saved me time and is close to the ignition. No issues so far with functionality. I wished that the reference lines indexed with the steering wheel turns, but that is not a deal breaker. I feel more confident backing up and not hitting things which is the point of the camera. Not bad for the price.

Install was a breeze, the only problem I had was the instructions are very vague, they tell you to install into pin 31 and 32 but don’t tell you to piggyback off existing wires or cut and splice.
I had to call tech support to get the answers, Brian was very helpful and easy to go with.
